rain flowerAban Sauary

Project Type: Public Commision

Location: Bellingham, WA

Year: Under Construction

The Rain Flower is a sculpture in service of Bellingham's natural environment. Its unfolding petals amplify the patterns and textures of the site, inviting visitors to engage more closely with the surrounding landscape. Vertical layers mark changing water levels in the basin, embedding the project in seasonal cycles. It is a study of form at the intersection of engineering and biological structure, a bridge between the natural and the manmade, contemporary and timeless.
